I designed a newsprint publication in response to a current topic or issue impacting communities. Some of the goals were to utilize typography as the primary mode of storytelling, generate original content, establish a unique typographic identity, and print the publication with newspaperclub.com. l wanted to center my newspaper around the Don CeSar, which is Saint Petersburg's oldest and most historic hotel.
My color palette was created to be 100% pink, in honor of the Don CeSar's nickname "The Pink Lady".
I did a lot of type studies to visually see how each typeface interacted with the rest of the newspaper.
